The Great Game

Kiera’s home life is not happy. One day on her way to school, Kiera sees a tiny ship floating in the gutter. It has on its deck the key that she lost the day before and for the loss of which she has been punished. The ship looks so real… She rescues the ship from a dreadful fate. Later, this time with Jai, she sees the ship again and they sail into the start of some incredible and quite magical experiences in the alternative world of Tisany. Kiera and Jai find that they have been taken to Tisany because they can help solve problems there. Through adventures involving stormy sailing, the Seeing Well, caves and snakes, a visit to a colourful souk in a city of towers, a long donkey ride through mountains, hostile chiefs and cheating travellers, The Great Game is developed and played in a sometimes frightening and dramatic finale. And weaving in and out of the events on Tisany, there are happenings at home too that lead Kiera towards a happier situation.

The Grogglenots

The year is 2019 and over in the orchard the mystical creatures called the Grogglenots are hard at work. Their main job is to Sprocklegog any fruit back to the trees if it is about to fall before being ripe. They do this using a special Sprocklegog gun and they work very hard in all kinds of weather conditions to keep the fruit safe for humans to eat.
Unbenknownst to them, underneath the orchard their arch nemesis the Giggees are planning to declare war on the Grogglenots and take the orchard for themselves. War eventually does happen and a fierce battle ensues. Giant centipedes and fire breathing snails are amongst the weapons used by either side. The Grogglenots have help in the form of an alchemist called Ethan and the Ivy Dwellers who live at the Manor House. The Giggees also have an alchemist on their side who helps them with their weaponry. Lives are lost on both sides, but who will win the war? Will good overcome evil? And what will be the future for the Grogglenots and their beloved orchard home?

Jess is a devoted granddaughter, coming to terms with the loss of her gran. Her heart is breaking, but she discovers a little secret. Her gran is still around. She is just a little different than others.

The Land of Faerie

Do you have a light in your back garden or on your flat balcony? You know, the type which hangs from a bracket on the wall or from a post holding birdfeeders, perhaps. Have you ever looked closely at it when the light is shining? Well, Molly did just that and saw strange creatures moving about inside it.

It turned out they were faeries, from The Land of Faerie: a fantastical world where pixies, faeries, unicorns, and other magical creatures live. We can briefly experience what it is like through our dreams – providing we have enough imagination. But Molly discovered it is possible to see and talk to some of these magical creatures not just in her dreams but also when she was awake: through what the faeries called “gateways” between our world and theirs. Yes, you guessed it, the gateways are usually garden lights.

However, as you will know I am sure, such lights sometimes don’t work – most often because their batteries are run-down. When her light stopped working, Molly discovered that there was more to it than just some run-down batteries.

Desperate to be able to talk again with her friends – Maple Leaf, Iris Flower, and Mayfly – she found herself on a journey of discovery which involved learning more about global warming and global dimming. It also involved the whole of The Land of Faerie trying to solve the problems which such conditions were creating for their gateways to our world.

The Littlest Angel

Angels have their problems. When you are the littlest and trying to find your place among a crowd of gleaming beings who have quite specific ideas of their place in the heavenly hierarchy, it can be daunting. Especially when they love to spread their wings into your space at the end of the front row in the heavenly choir. Littlest has a lot to learn but she manages. Flying is a learned skill, as is whispering, reminding and other things that angels are called on to do. But Littlest finds that she has special skills of her own that earn her the other angels’ respect and a place in the front of the choir.

The Magic Pen

The old lady has lived on her own for as long as she can remember. She enjoys her own company, watching the fire dance and drawing with her special pen.

Her quiet solitude was broken by drastic banging, the likes of which she has never heard before. Nobody ever knocks on her door. Well, perhaps once, but never twice, and only for good reason.

The Nature Saviours: Ghost of the Mountains

The Planet Mirth Adventures Two

Mia has five more amazing adventures on the planet Mirth.

In the first story, she meets the Easter Bunny in the magical forest where all the birds are made of chocolate and lay chocolate eggs. There’s a competition called the Eggs Factor to decide which bird lays the best egg.

In the second story, Mia has a day at the beach and rides on the back of a turtle. She watches the dolphins play golf on the back of a whale and try to hit their ball into the spout hole. It’s also the day of the crab football final, Totten-gnome against Gnome-mouth.

In the third story, there’s a fire in the magical forest. They have to save the toys that grow there, but time is running out.

In the fourth story, Carlo, the clown, has his wig stolen. Sherlock Gnomes is called and along with Mia, they solve the case.

In the last story, Mia and her mother get invited to a wedding. Ming, the king of Mirth, marries Queen Bella of the planet Stupiter. They join together their smelly socks as a sign of their love for each other.

The Rainbow Leaves a Trail

Izzy and Bizzy fairies live in the Fairy Trail Path in Willow Winds Wood, they are responsible for painting the rainbow after it rains and making sure that the magic penny is left for a lucky boy or girl to find it. However, they must investigate when their paints go missing and it leads them to uncover a very naughty gnome who wants to steal their job.
